SNEC is the world's largest solar industry fair: every June in Shanghai the Chinese module, cell, wafer and inverter makers that supply most of the world's photovoltaics — LONGi, Jinko, Trina, JA Solar, Tongwei, Huawei, Sungrow and hundreds more — show products and technology to buyers, developers and installers from every market.

About the fair
SNEC has been held in Shanghai since 2007 and has grown with China's dominance of the solar supply chain into a fair of more than 3,000 exhibitors across the whole National Exhibition and Convention Center. Its full name covers photovoltaic power generation, smart energy and, since the storage boom, energy-storage technology.
The exhibitor list is the industry: polysilicon, wafers, cells and modules, inverters, trackers and mounting, energy storage systems and batteries, production equipment and materials, and the balance-of-system suppliers. International developers, EPC contractors, distributors and utilities visit to negotiate module and storage supply for the coming year.
Recent editions have been shaped by price competition and overcapacity in modules, by the shift to TOPCon and back-contact cell technology, and by the storage sector's growth; the 2026 edition followed China's cancellation of the solar export VAT rebate on 1 April 2026, which raised export prices.
The conference programme runs in parallel with industry and policy sessions; the fair is compact in time (three days) and dense.
Pre-registration provides badges; overseas visitors receive invitation letters from the organiser.
Visiting
