Auto China (Beijing International Automotive Exhibition)

Auto China is Beijing's biennial motor show and the even-year counterpart of Auto Shanghai: held since 1990, it fills the China International Exhibition Center in Shunyi with the Chinese and global car makers' production cars, electric vehicles and concepts, with a components show alongside.

bauma CHINA is Asia's largest construction and mining machinery fair, the Shanghai edition of Munich's bauma: every second November the Chinese excavator, crane and concrete-machinery makers — SANY, XCMG, Zoomlion, LiuGong — and their international competitors show machines on open-air and indoor ground to buyers from Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America.

Canton Fair (China Import and Export Fair)

The Canton Fair is China's oldest and largest trade fair: held every spring and autumn in Guangzhou since 1957, each session runs in three five-day phases covering machinery and electronics, consumer goods and gifts, and textiles, health and food, with tens of thousands of exhibitors and around 290,000 overseas buyers at a session.

China Hi-Tech Fair (CHTF)

The China Hi-Tech Fair is the state's technology fair in Shenzhen: every November since 1999 it shows the output of Chinese research institutes, technology companies and provincial innovation programmes — robotics, semiconductors, AI, new energy, advanced materials — to investors, buyers and government delegations, with foreign country pavilions and a large start-up section.

CHINAPLAS is Asia's largest plastics and rubber trade fair and the second largest in the world after K in Düsseldorf: held each April, alternating between Shanghai and Shenzhen, it brings together injection-moulding and extrusion machinery, polymers and additives, recycling technology and the Chinese processing industry with buyers from across Asia.

China International Furniture Fair (CIFF) Guangzhou

CIFF Guangzhou is Asia's largest furniture fair: two consecutive weeks each March in which home furniture and furnishings are shown in the first week and office, commercial and hospitality furniture with materials and machinery in the second, drawing furniture buyers from around the world to the Pearl River Delta's manufacturing base.

China International Import Expo (CIIE)

CIIE is China's state-run import fair: held each November in Shanghai since 2018, it is the event at which foreign producers present goods and services for the Chinese market to Chinese importers, distributors and state buyers, with the intended purchase deals announced at the close as a policy signal.

CMEF is Asia's largest medical equipment fair, held twice a year since 1979: the spring edition in Shanghai each April and an autumn edition in October, showing imaging, in-vitro diagnostics, surgical and hospital equipment, consumables and rehabilitation products from Chinese and international makers to hospital buyers, distributors and regulators.

HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair

The Hong Kong Electronics Fair is the sourcing fair for consumer electronics made in the Pearl River Delta: run by the HKTDC in April and October at the Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai, the autumn edition is the larger and coincides with electronicAsia for components and, across the harbour, with the lighting fair — a week in which buyers cover the whole electronics chain in one city.
