The G visa is for travellers who pass through China on the way somewhere else and are not covered by the 240-hour visa-free transit scheme or by airside transit.

Who needs it
Transit passengers from countries outside the 240-hour scheme who leave the airport, or transits longer than 240 hours.

- Passport, COVA form and photo
- Onward ticket to the third country with a confirmed date and seat
- Visa for the destination country where required
